An exhibition? An artwork? An intervention? A commentary? Or just an elaborate prank by art students?
Cißpace was an exhibition that never really happened. It happened in Otaniemi, the heart of the Aalto University as a sort of intervention in what at appears a student mostly locality. This collaborative art work by Ali Akbar Mehta, Hasnan M Habib and Jernej Čuček Gerbec was devised as a pseudo-exhibition in a tiny recycling centre. Nothing was changed in the space, no one has been informed, except the public with a Facebook event and event posters. The exhibition happened, even though the audience was left searching for that something transformative in what was just an ordinary space.
Subsequently interviews where conducted with some of the people who visited the exhibition.
